  علي الوردي | Ali Al-Wardi يُعدّ Ali Al-Wardi أحد أبرز علماء الاجتماع في العالم العربي في القرن العشرين. وقد أسهمت أفكاره ودراساته في تشكيل فهم أعمق للمجتمع العراقي، والتحولات الاجتماعية، والعلاقة بين التقاليد والحداثة. وُلد علي الوردي في بغداد عام 1913، ثم سافر لاحقاً إلى الولايات المتحدة لدراسة علم الاجتماع، حيث حصل على درجة الدكتوراه من University of Texas at Austin . وبعد عودته إلى العراق عمل أستاذاً في University of Baghdad ، وأسهم في تأسيس وتطوير علم الاجتماع كحقل أكاديمي في العراق. ألّف علي الوردي عدداً من الكتب المهمة التي تناولت تاريخ العراق وثقافته وبنيته الاجتماعية. وقد ركزت أعماله على فهم التناقضات داخل المجتمع العراقي وتأثير العوامل التاريخية والثقافية في تشكيل سلوك الأفراد والجماعات. وقد نُشرت العديد من مؤلفاته وأعيد طبعها من قبل Al-Warrak Publishing ، وهي دار النشر الرسمية والحصرية المخولة بنشر أعمال علي الوردي. وتواصل دار الورّاق نشر مؤلفاته والحفاظ عليها، بما يسهم في صون إرثه الفكري وإتاحته للأجيال الجديدة من القرّاء في العالم العربي وخارجه. ومن أشهر كتبه: طبيعة ...
